Messages for Mom

Mother's Day is just a few weeks away, and I am doing a few craft shows so I thought I should make some Mother's Day cards.  April 23rd will be the 20th anniversary of my mother's passing, so this is always a bittersweet month for me.  The set, Messages for Mom, is in the current catalog.  I paired it with the new colored embossing powder (in the Summer Mini, starting May 1) along with some new DSP (also in the summer mini).

I was also searching this morning for a challenge, and happened upon  sketch challenge 43 at  The Paper Players, which seemed to work!  Clean and simple layout...not so simple DSP!

stamps:  SU Messages for Mom
Cardstock:  Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Beyond the Garden DSP
ink:  Versamark, Marina Mist
accessories:  Wild Wasabi Embossing Powder, Scallop Trim Border

  3. Lauri, love your take on the sketch. The bold, bright colors are perfect for Mother's Day and the embossed sentiment works so well against it. Fabulous card.
