Teacher Gifts: Scissors

I found this great idea to alter scissors for Teacher Gifts on Erica's blog, and when my sister asked me for some end of year teacher gifts I thought these would be great!

I made the above style for the female teachers and the one below for the male teacher!

I bought the scissors at a local store, and used Crystal Effects to apply the paper and the top gloss layer as well.  I added the charms to make them just a little more fun!  Then came the packaging....I saw another site that also made the scissors and put them in pastry bags.  The only pastry bags I could find had a big purple W for Wilton on the side so that wouldn't work!  So out came the pennant die!

Ribbon, a tag and done!  I know my sister will be hand delivering these to school so no worries about the scissors and potential  issues!  I hope they hold up;  I made a prototype set for myself last week and so far...so good!

paper:  SU Paisley Petals DSP, Baja Breeze;  Retired SU DSP, Basic Gray
