Paper Players Challenge 54: Christmas in July

Another week, and another fun challenge from The Paper Players!  With the new SU catalog debuting July 1, I knew I wanted to use a new set for my Christmas card this week.  I am also starting to think about the holidays since those craft fairs will be here soon!  Every year I want to start early.....so I made  both a card and a rosette table decoration using the new set, Pennant Parade.

I used the set to make these trees. How fun that the set comes with the tree base (and a lot of other images too!)  For the background, I embossed whisper white using the Northern Flurry embossing folder.  I used some retired DSP, and combined with Old Olive and Cranberry Cobbler for a traditional color set.

I love making these rosettes!  It is a quick and very easy display!

Enjoy your holiday weekend, and while is may be hot out, think about the holidays and join our challenge!
Stamps: Pennant Parade
Ink:  Old Olive, Cranberry Cobbler
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, retired DSP
Accessories:  Cranberry Cobbler Seam Binding, rhinestones, NOrthern Flurry embossing folder

  4. Lauri, I love it! The embossing is such a beautiful touch behind the trees and I love how you shortened up the Word Window punch to fit the sentiment. Great tip! Love that fabby table decor, too. So fun with the jingle bells. Hugs! :)

  5. Ooh, your card is lovely Laurie, and I too love that embossed background it really makes the trees "pop" right off the card. I also love the medallion as a table decor with the bells, such a lovely touch.
What a great backdrop for a picture, that lawn looks so beautiful and lush!!!

what fabulous projects you shared with us this week. I LOVE the fact that you added the ribbon but kept it simple so as not to detract from the fabulous trees on the snowflake background. Really gorgeous!
