Post Earthquake Pre Hurricane Studio Sketches

Well last winter it was all the snow..this week, earthquakes and hurricanes.  But here is a card! I had colored this image from Studio Sketches a few weeks ago and it has been sitting here on my desk.  I paired it with some Well Worn DSP, naturals white cardstock, Cajun Craze and Early espresso.

Texture can take a blah card to the next level!  I used the new stripes folder and the square lattice folder to do just that!

So my last week on the Summer Design Team for the Paper Players is this coming week, and I am sad to see my stint come to an end!  Be sure to stop by on Sunday for a fun sketch challenge!

stamps:  Studio Sketches, Thank You Kindly
inks/markers:  Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Elegant Eggplant
cardstock/DSP:  Watercolor Paper, Naturals White, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, Well Worn DSP
tools: Square Lattice embossing folder, stripes embossing folder

  1. Lauri!! This is gorgeous! I have never inked this set up and this is the creative kick in the pants I need to set it free from it's little plastic case! LOVE all od the texture and that Well Worn paper just skyrocketed to the top of my 'must have" list. Gorgeous! Hope you don't get too much impact from the storm! :)

  2. Oh you are so right about that texture. How lovely. Your image is wonderfully colored. I pulled this up several hours ago and got distracted by all the bruhaha on the weather channel. Vacation at the Jersey shore is coming to an abrupt end! Stay safe.

  6. This is awesome - I love the colours - you've blended the pitcher in with the DSP quite well - it's gorgeous. I like the triangles along the edge and the little banner at the bottom too. Yeup - the whole thing is Awesome!
