I took the day off from work today, hoping for nice weather and had a getaway day to the beach planned. Well, 60 degrees and rain kept me home! So, I made some cards (a bit of a getaway anyway!) Here is my card for this week's Freshly Made Sketch 96.
- I used a new set in the catalog, Polka Dot Pieces. Layering and punching makes this a fun set to use!
- Stumped with colors, I went to the Birthday Basics DSP and used Summer Starfruit and Raspberry Ripple.
- The tag? Chalk Talk Framelits!
- and I am woefully low in current ribbon, so had to make do with some linen thread..looks a bit sad though ; )
I have a fun card to share tomorrow that took me HOURS to do (and I am not exaggerating...love the technique though and will be doing it again!)
Have a great one!
~ Lauri
stamps: Polka Dot Pieces
cardstock: Very vanilla, Summer Starfruit, Birthday Basics DSP
inks: Summer Starfruit, Raspberry Ripple
others: 1/2" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/4" Scallop Circle punch, Chalk Talk Framelits
Cute, cute!! Love this and such a great use of the FMS sketch! I love the colors you used and I can't wait to see tomorrow's card and hear why it took hours and hours to make. ;)
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that your vacation day to the beach was sidelined by the unexpectedly cooler temps today!
This is so bright and fun, Lauri! I am not a beach girl, so a day of cardmaking sounds fabulous to me. :) Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.
