Here is my first creation for this month, Sketch 9 by Tui!
Even with our early snowstorm this weekend, I am still not quite in the holiday mood so I went with an Autumn card. I have done this technique before and love it! A great way of using one of the A La Carte stamps from the current catalog.
I paired the stamp with Autumn Spice paper, focusing on the colors of More Mustard, Soft Suede and Pool Party.I realized after I made it the sentiment is a little off center...sorry about that! Don't you hate how you immediately see the flaws in whatever you make??
Check out the other Design Team members cards, and play along with us this week!
stamps: Triple Treat Flower, Teeny Tiny Wishes
cardstock/DSP: More Mustard, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede, Autumn Spice DSP
inks: Soft Suede, More Mustard, Pool Party, Pear Pizazz
tools: Crystal Effects, Square Lattice Embossing Folders, punches

Wow...what a beautiful way to show off that stamp and coordinating punches! I love this card, love the DSP, love that focal image!! As for the words...hmm, looks perfect to me (but yes, I do the same thing). So glad you are with the team this month!!

Your flower is gorgeous as a focal point! Love everything about this! Perfect fall card! It's great you have you on the team this month!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Freshly Made, Lauri! This card is fabulous! I love the square lattice embossing with that DSP, perfect fit. And I love the way you 'reverse' layered the flower. Very unique and very cool!
ReplyDeleteLauri, I just discovered Freshly Made Sketches today, and WOW! The DT projects are stupendous!!!! Your card is so fabulous. I love the way you created the focal point. The colors are amazing together, the DP, the embellishments... absolutely wonderful. I am going to try to play this week!
ReplyDeleteLauri, this is beautiful. I didn't realize that the focal image was all from one stamp until you said it was one of the ala carte stamps. Just a great idea to cut it apart and separate the"layers" like that. And you can't go wrong with that color combination either!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, gorgeous flower! It looks so good with the Spice Cake paper too! Glad to have you with us this month! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, I love the texture and flower. Fabulous colour combo.
ReplyDeleteI just love that layered flower. The brads are pretty cool too! Great card all around.
ReplyDeleteThis is one stunning card! Great use of off-set layering with the different parts of the flower stamp! TFS!!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful is this Lauri! Your embossing and that flower look perfect together! SO happy to have you on the team for November!!

Why are we so hard on ourselves? I'm so glad you're joining us this month at Freshly Made Sketches this month!!

That paper is gorgeous! Can't wait to play with mine when it gets here. Love how you punched that image too.
ReplyDeleteLauri ... wow ... this card is just fabulous in every way, I loove that cutout, layered, dimensional flower, the embossing and patterned paper ... wow ... simply stunning!!!
